Program Details

The weekend will begin with an optional yoga class at 4 PM followed by dinner at 6PM and the opening weekend session will begin at 7 PM on Friday.  Our program will end mid-day Sunday after class and lunch.  You are welcome to arrive anytime after 2 PM on Friday to check in, get settled and relax.  If you must arrive later than dinner Friday evening, please contact our office to make special arrangements.

Massage will be available during your stay. We ask that you plan to pay with cash or check directly to the bodyworkers. Find out more upon your arrival.

General Retreat Information

The White Lotus Foundation is located in a canyon on 40 beautiful acres overlooking Santa Barbara, the Pacific Ocean and the Channel Islands. Hiking trails, natural rock formed swimming pools with artesian springs and a hot tub with a beautiful view of the surrounding area are just a few of the Center’s highlights. Spending time on this land, named The Gathering Place by the Chumash, is as much a spiritual experience and holistic rejuvenation as are the programs themselves.


Yurts (comfortable dome-like structures with heat and electricity), loft space in the main building and camping areas are available. Bedding is provided.  We do have a few tents available so please notify us in advance if you wish to use one, season and weather permitting. In addition, we have a few private rooms available for an additional charge.


For a moment in time we will have the opportunity to live in community. Accommodations are shared, unless camping. Gourmet plant-based breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks will be prepared for you by our chef.


The weather in Santa Barbara is beautiful and most often mild. Sunny skies are the norm with year round temperatures ranging from 60-80 degrees during the day and 30-60 degrees at night. However, we do encounter rare storms and cold weather (especially between November and March). It can become chilly during these times, so please bring warm clothes and rain gear if needed.

Items to Bring

Please bring towels, running or hiking shoes, a day pack, casual attire, sun glasses, a flashlight, water bottle, swim suit, and toiletries. Yoga mats are provided (or you may bring your own). Travel light, you don't need much!

Cancellation Policy

Your deposit is refundable until three weeks before the start date of the program, if cancellation is received in writing. Balances are due on or before arrival. Deposits are forfeited with less than 3 weeks prior notice. We strongly recommend full trip insurance covering your program costs and air travel. Coverage is very reasonable.
