Max Thomas is twenty-five year veteran of the ancient art and science of yoga, and has taught thousands of students and teachers at every level... from raw beginners, to professional athletes and celebrities. Max received his teacher training certification from Ganga White of the White Lotus Center for Yoga in Los Angeles in 1978. He later served there as Director of the center and was senior teacher and trainer of teachers. Max completed a second training with Martin Jackson, a senior Iyengar teacher from Australia and later traveled to Pune, India to personally study with BKS Iyengar. Throughout the years he has continued to pursue his Yoga education, studying with many of the top yoga teachers in the world.

In his Los Angeles/Topanga Canyon practice, Max works with Oscar and Emmy award winners, producers, agents, the CEO of the City of Hope Hospital, and western and alternative health care professionals. He has held weekly classes from his home studio, taught retreats, teacher training courses, yoga intensives, and workshops throughout California.

In 1997 Max and his wife created the critically acclaimed home video, "Ei Ei Yoga" which introduced kids & their parents to yoga in a colorful barnyard setting, set to foot-tapping bluegrass music. He has appeared on the David Letterman show and has been featured in articles in the New York Times, Chicago Tribune, The Malibu Times & Fit Magazine. Max is also a certified massage and deep tissue therapist.
